Halton has a packed lineup of community events this July, ranging from arts and crafts to cultural festivals, with plenty of opportunities to meet new friends and learn something new. Key highlights include Haven Fest at Victoria Park, Choir Fest at Runcorn Hill Park, and the 25th Anniversary of Rec’d All Day at The Studio.
RHYTHM REACTION COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLE

Have fun while experiencing the uplifting power of rhythm at Rhythm Reaction Community Drum Circle. Using percussion instruments, work together to build a shared musical experience, connect with each other through beat, harmony and collective expression. This is a great way to connect, collaborate and encourage teamwork within the community and unlock potential through music. No previous experience required, all instruments are provided.
HAVEN FEST

For an afternoon of free fun, pop along to Victoria Park to get involved in Halton Haven Hospice’s annual Haven Festival, featuring live music from local bands such as Katherine Hardman, Snow Wolves, Mondegreen, Run for Cover and Little Words; there will also be a variety of stalls, a funfair, BBQ, Bar and a variety of local stalls. So, no matter your interest there will be something for you to enjoy!

RUNCORN COMMUNITY CHOIR FESTIVAL

Bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of musical magic as six local choirs perform uplifting songs at the bandstand in Runcorn Hill Park. The event aims to celebrate the joy of singing and inspire others to get involved.
ART EXHIBITION

Support local talent with a showcase of work by Halton Adult Learners across the curriculum. This is an excellent chance to explore courses, meet tutors and discover new skills and see the stunning artwork on display. The Mayor of Halton, Pamela Wallace will choose 12 pieces of art to add to the Art of Runcorn Town Hall Exhibition in August.

BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE BEYOND THE TRACKS GUIDED WALK

Experience Halton’s rich musical heritage in a unique and inclusive way by coming along to the British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted guided walk along the award-winning Beyond the Tracks Music Trail. Starting at Widnes Train Station, journey through 17 fascinating musical stops from Widnes to Runcorn and uncover the surprising stories behind the borough’s vibrant music scene.
The walk will be led by a qualified BSL interpreter alongside Beyond the Tracks representatives who will be on hand to share their knowledge, this welcoming and accessible event is open for all.

What is Halton known for?
