Halton 50 Festival

Halton Borough Council are this year putting on a 2 day event to celebrate Haltons Golden Jubilee year . The Halton 50 Festival and will be in collaboration with The Great British Food Festival, and will take place at Runcorn Hill Park on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, between 10am – 5pm both days.

There will be FREE public admission including FREE Parking at the SOG offices opposite the playing fields.  Some of the activities on offer will include:

  • Great British Food Festival Stalls including Licensed stalls
  • Craft Marquee
  • Baby Big Top Circus
  • Mr Alexander Travelling Showman
  • Petting Zoo
  • Birds of Prey
  • Classic Car Display
  • Mini Steamers & Tractors
  • Sports Coaching and Activities
  • Halton Community Radio
  • Model Boat Displays

Halton 50 Funding

2024 marks the 50th year of the Borough of Halton. In 1974 the two towns on Runcorn and Widnes, along with a number of surrounding villages, joined together to create the Borough of Halton. As part of the celebration of Halton turning 50, Halton Borough Council is excited to announce two funding opportunities for community and cultural initiatives.
