The Departure Lounge

The Departure Lounge is inspired by the feeling of travel and escape, a place where people can pause, recharge, and step away from the everyday. We pride ourselves on our accessibility, friendly atmosphere, and the sense of community we’ve created. It’s a space we’ve built with care, and we’re really proud of the experience it offers our customers.

We serve a range of freshly prepared food including breakfasts, sandwiches, and paninis, alongside specialty coffee, teas, and a selection of cold drinks.  We also have an excellent range of other treats available like crisps, scones, cakes, and biscuits.

We offer free Wi-Fi for our customers, as well as a calm and welcoming environment. We also host small events with the travel agent side and can provide catering and private hire options. Such as our fabulous platters. these can be ordered for special occasions, events, or seasonal.

We are proudly fully wheelchair accessible, with ramp access, ample space for wheelchair users, and a disabled toilet. We aim to be welcoming and accessible to people of all abilities. We are the largest cafe in Widnes, which is not only really inviting because of our spacious layout, but also improves our accessibility.

We have a dog-friendly area at the front of the café, and our outdoor seating area also welcomes furry friends.
