Brian Whitmore at the Walled Garden: Wild Calligraphy

Through the autumnal months, the beautiful Georgian Walled Garden at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens is hosting calligraphy artist Brian Whitmore of Cross Street Arts, Standish, Wigan.

Brian has created and curated an array of artworks for visitors to discover and happen upon around the garden.  Fragments of quotations, thoughts, poems and philosophy are left in a mindful trail to reflect and ruminate upon.  This solo exhibition is intended to add sparks of wellbeing to all who visit, and to the quiet, tranquil and magical space that is the walled garden.

This installation has been made possible with the thanks of Art Fund, as part of Norton Priory’s ‘Mindful Museum’ programme of work.

Entry is included with standard museum admission prices.  Norton Priory is open Friday – Tuesday, and on Thursdays during school holidays only.  The museum is closed on Wednesdays.
