Halton, get ready to go green and let your imagination run wild - ECOFEST is back!

Running from 5th –13th September, Halton ECOFEST is a FREE, family-friendly celebration of all things green, taking place across Widnes and Runcorn. The festival forms part of Culture 26; Made in Halton, a year-long programme shining a spotlight on the borough’s rich creative heritage and cultural future.

Think community stalls buzzing with local makers, hands-on creative workshops, and recycling hacks so good you'll wonder why you didn't think of them first. Say hi to nature on your doorstep, spot wildlife, learn about biodiversity, and flutter over to see the Taylor Town Butterfly in Victoria Park, where craft meets creativity meets the great outdoors.

Catch art, culture and live performances popping up all over the borough, and swap stories with the local eco-heroes quietly changing the world (one compost bin at a time). Whether you're a fully-fledged eco-warrior or just eco-curious, Halton ECOFEST 2026 is your invitation to discover, make, share and get inspired, and realise just how much power you have to shape your own little corner of the planet. It's 100% FREE, 100% fun, and 100% Halton.

COME CURIOUS. LEAVE INSPIRED!

See what’s happening across the 9-day ECO Extravaganza throughout the Borough!
